Guy M. Wells

CEO/President



Guy Wells is the third generation owner of Wells Cargo, Inc. He was born in Reno, Nevada and moved with his family in 1972 to Las Vegas when his father Howdy took over operations of the Wells Cargo Vegas office. Guy attended Clark High School and his first job was on a ranch in Moapa over the summer. He started his career at Wells Cargo working summers in all facets of the company starting at the age of 14. After graduating from Clark he attended Southern Utah University where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management. In 1987 he married his wife Jodi and together they raised two children who are now grown. The same year he took on a full time position with Wells Cargo as Paving Superintendent later moving on to General Superintendent, Vice President of Operations, Executive Vice President and President. Guy works with multiple charitable foundations including Habitat for Humanity, Ducks Unlimited, the Elk Foundation and St. Jude’s. He was a founding member of the Nevada Contractor’s Association. He served as chairman of the Nevada Contractor’s Board twice after being appointed by Governor Guinn & Governor Gibbons. He has served on several boards including the Nevada Contractor’s Association, Associated General Contractors, and Habitat for Humanity.

Trent Scarlett

Executive Vice-President



Trent Scarlett is the Executive Vice-President at Wells Cargo overseeing estimating and administration. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Las Vegas in 1970. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business and a minor in Accounting from Southern Utah State College. He married his wife Kari in 1986 and together they raised three wonderful children. Trent has been with Wells Cargo since 2008 and in the Las Vegas construction industry for 27 years. Trent is actively involved in Three Square and Safe Nest charities and is a board member of HomeAid.
